Data Deletion Instructions and Exercise of Privacy Rights

Boom is committed to the highest standards of data protection. Whether you are protected by the LGPD (Brazil), GDPR (Europe), or CCPA/CPRA (USA), we provide the tools to control, export, or delete your personal information and associated social media data.

1. How to Request Data Deletion (The “Right to be Forgotten”)

If you wish to terminate your relationship with Boom and have your data permanently removed from our systems:

  1. Log in to your Boom dashboard.
  2. Access Account Settings > Privacy & Security.
  3. Select the option “Request Permanent Account Deletion”.
  4. Once confirmed, Boom will initiate a “Purge Protocol”. Your PII (Personally Identifiable Information) and OAuth tokens (Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn) will be deleted or irreversibly anonymized within 48 hours, in compliance with Art. 18 of the LGPD and Art. 17 of the GDPR.

2. Revoking Platform Permissions (Meta/Facebook/Instagram)

If you only wish to stop the data sync without deleting your Boom account:

  1. Go to your Facebook Settings & Privacy > Apps and Sites.
  2. Locate Boom and click “Remove”.
  3. Important: Under the “Data Deletion Request” requirement of the Meta Developer Policy, you may also send an email to [email protected] with the subject “Data Revocation” to ensure all cached API metrics are cleared.

3. Legal Retention and Exceptions

In accordance with Art. 16 of the LGPD and international financial regulations, certain data cannot be deleted immediately:

  • Financial & Tax Records: Data related to payouts, Wallet transactions, and tax obligations will be stored for up to 5 years (or the local statutory period) to comply with Audit and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws.
  • Fraud Prevention: Anonymized behavioral hashes may be retained to protect the ecosystem against botnet reintegration, as per our legitimate interest in platform integrity.

4. Data Portability
